Welcome to Skilled 4 Life, fast-track building courses to get you started asap. Skilled 4 Life are based in Sheffield although people attend our intensive building courses from all around the United Kingdom.

Typically, the major contractors and house builders managing large construction projects do not directly employ craftsmen, women or specialist trades. These skills are provided by thousands of small sub-contractors in the construction industry – usually on short-term contracts. As a result over 80% of the workforce is self-employed or in small firms.

The majority of site workers enter the industry through informal routes, learn on the job and they have no formal qualifications.

The construction industry is seeing a growth in demand for specialist trades throughout the supply chain in both new build and in repair and refurbishment. Manufacturers are continually launching new products for which new skills are required, and for which there are currently no training courses accredited to Vocational Qualifications. It is critically important that the industry has the required levels of specialist skills to meet this demand.

FOUNDATION COURSE: Plastering

These plastering courses are available during the week and at weekends. Course Content: You will be trained in a purpose-built bay complete with internal angles, external angles and a window opening.
